New London, CT - The Colby College Mules (13-5-6, 8-5-5) tied the Connecticut College Camels (9-13-2, 7-10-1) by a score of 2-2 in their Saturday afternoon matchup. The game progressed to a shootout, and the Camels emerged victorious, 1-0.
No goals were scored until the third period.
Will Soloway scored at the 5:08 mark via an assist from
Jayden Grier. The Camels rallied to score twice. Soloway scored again, earning him a hat trick for the weekend.
Wyatt Schmidek assisted Soloway on the play. The game progressed to overtime and then a shootout. Both teams held firm, but it was ultimately Connecticut College's Jack Luca who netted the game-winner.
Cooper Rautenstrauch saved 23 shots while in net for the Mules. Colby won 36 faceoffs out of 68 total.
