Hartford, Conn. - Following a tight 5-4 victory over fourth seeded Middlebury Saturday in the conference quarterfinal round, the fifth seeded Colby Men's Squash team took on the 17-time defending NESCAC Champions and top seeded Trinity Bantams on Sunday. This marks the second straight year the Mules have made it to the semifinal round and second time in program history.
In the matchup, Colby battled hard but Trinity on their home courts was too much for the Mules as they fell 8-1. In the eight spot,
Adrian Castillo picked up the lone victory with a 3-0 sweep.
Inwoo Lee in the one spot one played hard including winning the third game 11-5 but could not get the overall win. The Bantams went on to win their 18th straight championship later that day.Â
Next up, both Colby Men's and Women's squash will take on Franklin and Marshall on Friday, February 14th to begin the final stretch of regular season matches.Â
