Lyme, N.H. - For the third time this season,
Lydia Riddell landed on the podium of a GS race, continuing her commanding season.
The Colby Alpine Ski Team completed the Dartmouth Carnival on Saturday with another day of racing at the Dartmouth Skiway. The Mules landed six in the top 30, and the men's team notched their second-best result of the season to date.
Riddell mastered both a flat course and soft snow, finishing third on the day; she now sits in third place in the GS standings. Also scoring for Colby was
Carissa Cassidy in 23rd and first-year
Althea Noyes in 26th.
On the men's side, the squad was helped by the return of
Nolan Sweeney, who placed 14th. Senior Captain
Patrick Coughlin finished in 20th, his second-best finish so far this season.
Harrison Digangi provided the third scorer, right behind Coughlin in 21st.
As a team, the Mules placed fifth, just behind the University of New Hampshire and well ahead of Saint Michael's.
Colby will return to action on Friday with the legendary Middlebury Carnival. Hundreds of spectators are expected to attend what is always a raucous and fun race.
