Bloomington, Ill. - The Colby College Volleyball team took the second and fourth sets but fell 18-16 in the fifth in Wednesday's Elite Eight match with #10 Trinity (TX) in the NCAA tournament, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. The Elite Eight appearance was the second in program history.

Lindsay Johnson. "The level of grit and determination they showed, day after day throughout the season, but especially down the stretch in the regional bracket and through this event. What we have accomplished in our growth on the court and as players outshines our record by far."

After dropping the opening set 21-25, the Mules bounced right back in the second 25-18 to tie it at one. The third set was a back and forth battle with Trinity (TX) taking a 16-19 lead before Colby went on a run behind the serving of
Brady Moseley to jump ahead 23-21. The Tigers finished the set with a run of their own to take the 23-25 victory.
The fourth set was neck and neck through the first half until Colby pulled away 13-10, 16-12, 22-15, and then finally taking the set 25-16.
The fifth set was as even as the rest of the match, with ties at 10, 12, 14 and even extra points at 16. The Tigers were able to pull out back-to-back points when it mattered and closed the fifth 16-18.
Kendal Glover led the way with a career-high 18 kills, and added six assisted

blocks for 21 points.
Cyanne Jones and
Marjorie Johnson were also strong at the net with five assisted blocks apiece. Moseley and Jones joined Glover in double-digits for kills with 12 each .
Gabby Grujic and
Sydney DeProfio combined for 56 assists from the setter position, and Moseley and
Alli McKenney led the Mules with a combined 46 digs.
With a 26-4 record, fourth-ranked Colby closes their historic 2025 campaign and looks to making it three straight NCAA appearances in 2026.
