A new tradition is coming to Maine hockey this winter with the inaugural Lobster Pot Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, set for January 2–3 at Falmouth Family Ice Center.
The two-day event will bring together all four of the state's Division III men's ice hockey programs—Bowdoin, Colby, the University of New England, and the University of Southern Maine—for a showcase of in-state competition. Tournament play begins Friday, January 2, with Colby vs. UNE at 3:30 p.m., followed by Bowdoin vs. Southern Maine at 7:00 p.m. Action continues Saturday, January 3, with the consolation game at 2:00 p.m. and the championship at 5:30 p.m. A youth clinic will also be held Friday from 2–3 p.m. at Casco Bay Arena, adjacent to Falmouth Family Ice.
Tickets are $8 per game (separate admission for each game) and will
go on sale Monday, December 22 at this link. All games will be streamed online by the
Northeast Sports Network.
