Box Score Castine, Maine - The Colby College Women's Soccer team faced the Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy for a midweek non-conference matchup. The Mules showed strong efforts and walked away with the 3-1 victory.  

The first half was very offensive with Colby totaling 11 shots and five corner kicks, while allowing zero corners for Maine Maritime. Goalkeeper Talia Thompson held strong throughout the half, making one key save. After continuous play and plenty of opportunities for the Mules, five minutes left in the half at 40:45, Amirthini Vithiananthan set the lead for Colby with a high right shot, assisted by Avery Del Col. Early in the second half, the Mariners tied the game, but that did not stop the high energy from the Mules. Just 10 minutes later at 59:40, Abigail Jarvi put Colby back ahead off a pass from Del Col, making that her second assist of the night. The Mules added another 11 shots in the half, continuing to press offensively. At 68:38, Claire Walsh capitalized on a penalty kick to extend the lead. For the remainder of the half, Thompson's one save and the Mules' defense held strong, keeping their two goal advantage. After a well-played game, the Mules walked away with the 3-1 victory.

The Mules will travel down to Hartford, Connecticut, to face Trinity College on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
