  The Colby Mules traveled to New London on Monday to face the Camels of Connecticut College. There were a lot of hard fought races and the the women's meet came down to the last relay where the Mules finished strong and won the meet 146-134. On the mens side the Mules fell by the score 201-93. Once again it was an overall effort for the entire team competing hard against a NESCAC foe.
The women started off and closed the meets with victories in the 200 Medley Relay (
Tahlia Crowley,
Kellen Mottl,
Lily Moy and
Eliza Marco) and 400 Free Relay (
Lily Moy, Lucey Mackey,
Eliza Marco,
Zoe Buzzelli.) In the middle of the meet The Mules had 5 wins in a row ( Mottl - 100 Breaststroke, Asch - 200 Butterfly,
Caitlin Lacey - 50 Free,
Clara Ursu - 1 M diving, Marco - 100 Free) to help secure the victory. Mottl claimed her 3rd win in the 200 Breaststroke and Ursu got her second winning the 3 M diving as she achieved lifetime best on both boards once again.
For the men they had some great races against a tough Connecticut team. The Mules swept the backstroke events as Brandon Xiong won the 100 and Spencer Cohen won the 200. Colby finished the meet strong winning the 400 Freestyle Relay (Michael Fiechter, Brandon Xiong, Ethan Chang, Carson Rehkopf) to close out the meet.
On Saturday January 25th the Mules will have their final home dual meet of the season when Wesleyan comes to Waterville. The meet start time will be 11:30 with a program to honor the seniors at 11:15.Â
