The Colby Mules continued an undefeated January as both the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams dominated Worcester Polytecnic Institute (WPI) on Saturday afternoon. The men won or had the fastest time in all 16 events competed in and the women won 11 out of the 16 events. There were multiple event winners with first year
Savannah Lombardi and first year Curtis Johnson both earning their first college victories in the 1000 Freestyle. Final team scores were:

The women started off the meet by going 1, 2 ihe first 3 events competed. The 400 Medley Relay of
Tahlia Crowley,
Kellen Mottl,
Lexi Asch and
Eliza Marco started the Mules on their winning ways. Mottl would go on to win the 100 and 200 Breaststrokes, Crowley won the 200 Backstoke, Asch won the 200 Butterfly and Marco won the 100 Freestyle. Following the Medley relay
Zoe Buzzelli would win the 200 Freestyle and then Lombardi won with a personal best and the 20th fastest time in school history. Other winners included
Caitlin Lacey in the 50 Free and
Ruby Venturelli in the 500 Freestyle. Another top performances was done by
Meagan Englert in the 400 IM and
Clara Ursu had a great day on the boards achieving personal best scores on both the 1M and 3M.
The men would have multiple 3 event winners with Carson Rehkopf  (400 Medley Relay, 200 Free, 100 Free). Brandon Morrison (400 Medley Relay, 200 Butterfly, 100 Butterfly) and Alexander MacLennan (400 Medley Relay, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Breaststroke.) Ethan Chang (400 Medley Relay, 50 Free), Ivan Knoepflmacher (1M and 3 M diving) and Spencer Cohen (100 and 200 Backstroke) all picked up two wins apiece while Nathaniel Chon won the 500 Freestyle and Skylar Yoham won the 400 IM. The time swum in the 400 Medley Relay was the 7th fastest in school history and the 400 Freestyle Relay was 11th.
On Monday the Mules head to New London, Connecticut to face off against Connecticut College. The meet will begin at 1 PM.
