Waterville, Maine - The Colby Alpine Ski Team closed the Bates Carnival with more standout performances from the women's team.
Carissa Cassidy finished in a career-best fourth place, barely missing the podium.
The snow remained excellent at Sunday River on Saturday, and the women placed two more skiers in the top 10.
Hannah Soria finished in seventh place, a career-best for her in Slalom. First-year
Finn Boissonneault skied to 17th, and
Charlotte Maurer was the last scorer in 22nd.
The men rebounded from a disappointing day on Friday, with
Harrison Digangi leading the team in 13th place.
Brooks Reed finished in 23rd, and
Topher Davenport skied a solid second run to end the day in 28th.
The Women's team finished the day in third place, their best finish in Slalom since 2020. The men's team wrapped up the day in seventh place. The Mules finished the weekend in fifth place.
This will be a short week for the league, which will make the long trip to Lake Placid for the Saint Lawrence Carnival. Lake Placid was the site of the NCAA Championships two years ago, where
Lydia Riddell earned All-American honors in the GS.
