Medford, Mass. - The Colby College Softball team headed down to Medford this weekend for the NESCAC Championships, when they were unfortunately defeated by Trinity College, ending their season. This brings the Mules to a final season record of 18-19 overall and 10-8 in the conferences. Trinity now stands at a season record of 23-14.
- In the second inning, Courtney Schumacher grounded out to the third baseman and Victoria Ramirez grounded out to the first baseman, unassisted. Emma Burnham walked to first and Juliana Kiley grounded out to the third baseman.
- In the third, Ella Wilcox grounded out to the third baseman, Kelsey Sullivan flied out to right field, and Carissa Cassidy grounded out to shortstop.
- During the fourth, Grace Gouin grounded out to the second baseman. Chloe Wilcox grounded out to the first baseman unassisted and Schumacher grounded out to shortstop.
- The Mules got their first run in the fifth inning, starting with Ramirez grounding out to shortstop. Burnham walked to first and Kiley doubled to left field. C. Wilcox singled to left field, allowing Burnham to score. Sullivan then popped up to the second baseman and Cassidy grounded out to the first baseman, unassisted.
- In the sixth and final inning of this game, Gouin grounded out to the third baseman. Wilcox grounded out to shortstop and Liv Menyo grounded out to shortstop.
This concludes the Mules' 2024 season but we will see them back in action next year!
