Los Angeles, CA - The Colby College Men's Tennis team defeated Occidental 6-3 on Monday afternoon. 

In doubles, Occidental started out hot with an 8-4 win at court 3 and an 8-7(2) win at court 2. At court 1, senior captain Sam Henry and junior captain Jake Cohen found a point for the mules with an 8-7(7) win. Cohen and Henry saved a match point on their way to victory. The Mules then trailed 1-2 after doubles.

In singles, the Mules won 5 of 6 matchups, with 4 of the 5 won in third sets. Both senior captain Joey Barrett and junior Sriram Das won their third set 6-2. First year Paul Dandler won his third set 6-0, and Cohen won his third set 6-1. Henry pulled away with a 6-0 7-6(3) victory at line 3. 

Colby is back in action Tuesday, March 26th against University of Redlands to continue the California campaign.
