Box Score Amherst, Massachusetts - The Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team played their second game of the weekend against Amherst College on Saturday afternoon. Amherst took the win 3-1. The Mules fall to 12-7-1 overall and 4-7-1 in conference.

After coming off a close loss in last night's game the Mules took the ice ready to battle. An even matchup in the first period with opportunities for both teams remained scoreless. Midway through the second period Meg Rittenhouse scored the first goal of the game with an assist by Beth Sinson. The Mules maintained their 1-0 lead for the remainder of the period. Unfortunately Colby could not keep the shutout and the Mammoths put up 3 goals in the third period, winning the game 3-1. Mandy Busky made 35 saves on 38 shots faced.

The Mules return to action at home next weekend against Wesleyan University.
