Lancaster, Pa.- Colby College Men's Squash traveled to Franklin and Marshall College to compete against the Diplomats in the final match-up of the regular seasons. The Mules defeated the Diplomats 7-2 to improve to 11-3 overall and remain at 5-3 in NESCAC conference competition. Colby moves into the playoffs in fourth out of eleventh teams.
The Mules saw two 3-0 match-ups by
Inwoo Lee and
Carlos Zendejas. Lee held his competitor to one point in the final round of the match.
Seif Ashraf saw a 3-2 victory marking the 12th victory in a row for both
Seif Ashraf and
Inwoo Lee.
Sen Subramaniam had a back-and-forth match-up, holding his opponent to an initial two-round wins to get the victory for the Mules.
Rintaro Yamamoto saw defeat in his first round but perservered to get the next three round wins and the overall match win.
Next Saturday, February 10th, at 10:00am, Colby College Men's Squash will travel to Amherst, Massachusetts to compete against the 5th seed Amherst College Mammoths in the first round of the NESCAC Championship playoffs.
