Waterville, Maine - After topping Conn. College in OT 1-0 and tying Tufts 4-4 in OT to closeout the regular season, the Colby College Men's Ice Hockey has clinched the eighth and final seed for the 2024 NESCAC Playoffs. The Mules have now qualified for the seventh time in eight tournaments and is set to travel to the number one seeded Trinity Bantams Saturday for a quarterfinals matchup on Saturday.
In this years regular season series the nationally ranked Bantams took both wins with the first on January 12th resulting in a 4-2 scoreline on Mayflower Hill followed by a February 9th meeting with a 5-3 result in Hartford.
Dhillon Wilde scored the two goals for Colby in the first matchup as
Michael McEachern,
Tyler Crist and
Jayden Grier slotted the three goals in the second matchup.
Andy Beran totaled 46 saves across the two games.
