The team tallied 42 kills, nine aces, seven blocks, 41 assists, and an impressive 73 digs, ending with a hitting percentage of .168. Their balanced offensive and defensive efforts helped them control the match, ultimately securing set scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-23. With the win, Colby improves to 23-2 overall and remains undefeated in the NESCAC with a perfect 10-0 record, while the Camels fall to 15-9 overall and 3-7 in the conference.
In the opening set, Colby quickly established an early lead. Though Connecticut fought back to tie, the Mules pulled away with a combination of service aces and powerful kills. Despite Connecticut's efforts, including two timeouts to regain momentum, Colby's offense remained dominant. The Mules closed out the set with a block from Cyanne Jones and a final kill from LJ Grant, along with a Connecticut attack error, clinching the first set 25-14. The second set saw Colby continue their strong performance, capitalizing on Connecticut's errors and quickly building a lead. After a brief push back from the Camels, Colby extended their advantage and wrapped up the set 25-14. The third set featured intense back-and-forth action, with the Camels briefly taking the lead due to some Colby attack errors. However, Colby responded with a surge of kills to regain the lead. Despite Connecticut tying the set at 19-19, Colby regained control, and a final kill from Brady Moseley put them at set point. The match ended with a dramatic service ace by Jordan Lee, sealing the third set 25-23 and securing the sweep.
Offensively, Moseley led the charge with 11 kills, followed by Sarah Friedrichs with 9 and Grant with 8. Jordan Lee contributed 4 aces, while Grant added 3 and Reese Loyd recorded 1.
