Women's Soccer Heading into the Postseason for First Time Since 2018

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Women's Soccer team is set to face No. 3 Williams Saturday for a NESCAC quarterfinal round matchup. The Mules are back in the tournament for the first time since 2018 and first time as a sixth seed since 2012.

During the regular season, Colby fell in a close 1-0 game to the at the time #18 nationally ranked Ephs here on Mayflower Hill with the lone goal coming in the 54 minute of play. The Mules will look to use the momentum of only losing one of their last seven games in the quarterfinal match.

After defeating Bates last night in a 2-1 comeback victory, the Mules finish the regular season with a 9-4-2 record for the teams most wins since the 2006 campaign, the same year the team grabbed their latest postseason win. This season also marks the first time Colby has beat Bates and Bowdoin in the same year to be crowned CBB Champions. The Mules also won the CBB back in 2011 with a win over the Bobcats and tie with the Polar Bears (Bates and Bowdoin tied 2-2 in their matchup). A three-way series can also end in a three-way tie which has happened on multiple occasions with these teams.

Saturday's matchup in Williamstown, Mass. is scheduled for a 1:00pm start. Fans can follow alongside the action using the live video and live stats links as well as check out the NESCAC Championship Central page for more information. The winner will advanced to the semifinal round taking place November 9th with the championship game to follow the next day.
