Game Recap: Field Hockey |

Field Hockey Falls Short Against Endicott

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Field Hockey team played Endicott College on Sunday afternoon. The Mules and the Gulls battled back and forth, but Endicott's early goal set them ahead for the remainder of the game, giving them a 3-1 win over Colby.

Colby and Endicott played back and forth for the first 15 minutes, as the game remained scoreless for most of the first half. Endicott started off the scoring with two goals a minute apart with just under six minutes to play in the second quarter, finding a 2-0 lead at the end of the half. Colby came back fighting in the second half, as Charlotte Michener found her first collegiate goal with 12 minutes to play in the game, making it a one goal game for the Mules. Unfortunately Colby's comeback wasn't enough, as Endicott secured their lead to make it 3-1 with only seven minutes to play in the game. Leah Anderson and Harri Baker both saw 30 minutes in the net, collecting four and eight saves, respectively.

Colby is back in action at Wesleyan on Saturday at 12 pm.
