Waterville, Maine - After a short turnaround from their competition at Middlebury, the Colby Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams took on Connecticut College in a home matchup Monday. The Women's team came out on top of Connecticut with a score of 177-121, while the Men's team got bested in the end with a score of 167-131.

Kellen Mottl,
Gabriella Landau, and
Lily Moy kicked things off with a win for the women in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. The men answered and Brandon Xiong, Alexander MacLennan, Neil Mortimer, and Allen Zhu got first in their 200 Medley Relay, as well. In the 1000 Yard Freestyle,
Meagan Englert took the top spot with a time of 10:58.88. Tahlia Crowley won the women's 100 Yard Backstroke, while
Kellen Mottl won the women's 100 Yard Breaststroke. On the men's side, Alexander MacLennan took the top spot in the 100 Yard Breastroke, Neil Mortimer battled for first place in the 50 Yard Freestyle, MacLennan got another first in the 200 Yard Breastroke, and in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, the following men worked hard together to come out on top: Xiong, Chang, Mortimer, and Rehkopf. Back to the women's side,
Lexi Asch won the 100 and 200 Yard Butterfly,
Lily Moy once again proved dominant in the 50 and 100 Yard Freestyle, and Mottl snagged first for the 200 Yard Breastroke. Finally, in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, Crowley, Mottl, Cheung, and Mayo dominated the field and helped Colby get first place. The women's diving team got first place in both the 1 Meter Dive (
Avery Rappaport) and the 3 Meter Dive (
Eleanor McGrath).
