Williamstown, Mass. — With a hard-fought battle through all 90 minutes, Colby and Williams remained scoreless and repeated last year's matchup with the Ephs to end with a 0-0 tie, making the Mules season record 3-0-2.
Strong defense and goalkeeping seem to be a trend this year for the Colby Men's Soccer team. The Mules are yet to let up a goal in their net this season. Brendan McCarthy started his 5th game in goal and remained in the net throughout today's game, making 5 saves to take away any opportunities the Ephs had at a goal.
In the first half, Colby's Eduardo Casanova, Lleyton Bristow, Joseph Beshel, and Charlie Scott all contributed to the Mules 6 goal attempts. Despite these numerous attempts, Colby went into the second half without putting any numbers on the board.
Colby's Aidan O'Brien and, again, Eduardo Casanova tried to secure a goal for the Mules to get ahead in the second half, but both the Mules and the Ephs ended with 0 points on the board.
Colby Men's Soccer will be on the road again tomorrow (September 24) to face Amherst College at 2:30 p.m.
