Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Mules Face Defeat Against Trinity College

Hartford, Conn. — The Mules kept Trinity to a scoreless game until the last 10 minutes. With a late goal, the Mules fell to the Bantams 1-0.

MK Marshall began in Colby's goal and stayed in the net throughout the game, making 5 saves. In the first 5 minutes on the field, Maddie Fisher sailed a shot toward the Bantam's net but it was blocked by their goalie. In the middle of the first half (starting around the 27th minute), the ball stayed down by Colby's goal, testing the Mule's defense and goalkeeping. It began with a header shot that hit the crossbar and was followed by 3 shots that were either blocked or saved by MK Marshall. By the end of the first half, the game remained 0-0.

In the second half, the Mules came out of the gate with a shot by Pepper Joseph. Both teams went head to head with an aggressive offense, especially the Mules with their consistent goal attempts. The Bantam's proved too much for the Mules in the last 10 minutes of the game, scoring the goal that would break the tie, making it 1-0 to finish the game.

The Mules will be back home this week to play the University of Hartford on Tuesday, September 19th at 3:00 p.m.
