Hartford, CT - The Colby Women's Tennis Team defeated Trinity College on Sunday, April 23rd by a score of 6-3 to book their ticket into the NESCAC tournament.

The Mules led after the doubles, taking 2 out of the 3 matches. At line 1, junior captains Sam Riordan and Sydney Landau won 8-3. At 2nd doubles, senior captain Caleigh McClain and freshman Bella Suk won 8-4. On court 3, freshmen Amelie Gal and Ellie Gershaw fell 8-7. 

Riordan added the first point for the Mules in the singles, winning 6-0, 6-2 at line 1. At line 6, Gal put the Mules up 4-1, with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Gershaw gave the Mules point number 5 with a 6-4, 6-3 win at line 3, sending the Mules to the postseason. Landau was the final victory for the Mules, winning 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 at line 2.

The Mules will travel to Middlebury to face 4th ranked Middlebury on Friday, April 28th.
