Waterville, MAINE - Fresh off a strong performances against a nationally ranked Amherst team, Colby returned to the field this evening to take on Bowdoin. The Mules put together another consistent performance that saw strong play across all four quarters. Colby trailed 12-6 at the half and put together an impressive second half that saw them put up 10 points, their most significant single-half output of the season. The loss drops the Mules to 2-8 and Bowdoin to 9-3.
Colby got off to a strong start as they took a 5-4 lead through the first quarter and had steady play through the rest of the half. The Mule's scoring was led by
Nick Hassan with two while
Henry Popko,
Ryan Darby,
Bennett Goller, and
Max Solmssen each had a goal.
Will Rickards had seven of his 12 saves in the first half.
The second half saw the productivity double as they scored ten goals. Popko led the scoring with three goals. He was helped out by Hassan and
Bennett Goller with two a piece. Additionally,
Jack Goller,
Carson Byrd, and
Jake Surette had a goal a piece. Other statistical highlights from the game include
