Clinton, N.Y. - The Colby Women's Basketball team headed to Hamilton Saturday for their last game of the season falling to the Continental's 53-70. The Mules end the season with a 8-14 overall record and a 3-7 conference record.
Hamilton got off to a quick start taking a 38-20 lead into halftime. The Mules started to find their rhythm taking the third quarter by three points but the first half lead was too much as the Continental's took the victory. Hamilton's 15 second chance points compared to Colby's zero had a big impact on the final result.
Lydia Mordarski had a great game to end the season on finishing with 25 points (season-high) and three steals as
Carter McGloon contributed eight points and seven rebounds, followed by
Caroline Smith also with eight points.
Smith finished the season in tenth place in the NESCAC for total points with 239 and assists averaging 2.7 a game. McGloon also finished tenth in the NESCAC but for total rebounds grabbing 162. This concludes the season for Women's Basketball who will be ready to battle next year as they have five first years and have a talented young group overall. Colby will be back in action next winter.
