Waterville, Maine- Men's Hockey faced off against Middlebury College earlier tonight in a NESCAC matchup at the Jack Kelley Rink.

The Mules got off to a hot start against the Panthers, with
Ryan Doolin scoring just over three minutes into the game,
Will Molson and
Max O'Brien earning assists. Just thirty-seven seconds later,
John McElaney increased the Mules lead to two as
Jake MacDonald and
Clay Korpi earned points with assists. Colby outshot Middlebury 11-9 this period with
Andy Beran in net for the Mules. In the second period, the Panthers showed spurts of offense, stymied by Beran. With two minutes to play, senior
Carter Breitenfeldt tallied his fourth goal in three games to give Colby a 3-0 lead through forty minutes of play. In the final period, McElaney scored his second goal of the game, followed by
Alex Bourhas scoring a goal assisted by Breitenfeldt to give Colby the 5-0 win. Beran recored 18 saves tonight, recording his second shutout of the season.
