Waterville, Maine - The Colby Women's Basketball team took on MIT Tuesday in a home non-conference matchup leading to a Mules loss 52-65. This places Colby at 6-9 overall on the season.
The Mules battled with the Engineers the entire first half starting withÂ
Lydia Mordarski's hot start knocking down three threes in a row to start the first quarter. In the second quarter MIT got up to an 11 point lead, however Colby answered quick as they went into the half only down four. Late into the third the Engineers started to pull away ultimately leading to the final result of 52-65. Mordarski finished the game with 18 points followed by
Lili Nagy with nine as both
Mackenzie Younker and
Carter McGloon contributed seven points and seven rebounds.Â
Next up, the Mules will head to Brunswick, Maine Saturday for a NESCAC matchup against Bowdoin.Â
