Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Volleyball team loses to a strong No. 14 ranked Wesleyan University team (11-1, 3-0 NESCAC) in a battle for first place in the conference three sets to one (18-25, 25-17, 15-25, 18-25). This sets the Mules back into third in the NESCAC standings while giving Wesleyan first place.
Colby put up a good fight but the Cardinals' 11 blocks compared to Colby's six is what led them to victory.
Natalie Bumpus contributed half of those blocks with three on the night.
Hannah Wyllie led the team with 11 kills,
Emma Davis with nine, and Lj Grant with eight.
The Mules will have to bounce back quickly as they take on Trinity College tomorrow afternoon in Waterville for another NESCAC matchup.
