Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Ties Gordon

Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Men's Soccer team earned their first tie of the season, taking the visiting Gordon Fighting Scots to a knotted 2-2 score at the end of regulation.  The Mules level their record at 2-1-1 while the Scots improve to 1-3-1.

The scoring began almost immediately at the onset of the first half.  Colby pressured the offensive end early, when 2019 All-NESCAC selection Ethan Fabricant tallied his first goal of the season off a cross by Ethan Franco in the second minute.  Fabricant returned the favor halfway through the first period, taking a cross by Justin Lauer, redirecting with a header, and setting up a beautiful bicycle kick for Franco.  The 2021 NESCAC Rookie of the Year connected perfectly, finding the top right corner of the goal for his third goal of the season.

Gordon was able to tally their first score right before half, and despite the Mules holding off the visitors for the majority of the second period, the visitors scored the equalizer with under two minutes to play.

Colby is back in action Saturday when they host the Bantams of Trinity College.
