Waterville, Maine - The Colby Baseball team, with its sweep over the Trinity Bantams this past weekend, set a program record for most wins in a regular season, most conference wins in program history, and are headed to their first berth at the NESCAC playoffs. The Mules ended the regular season tied for the most wins in the NESCAC-East Division and will host their first playoff series on Saturday, May 7 at 12:00pm versus Wesleyan College.  The series is a best-of-three format, with two games on Saturday and one tentatively schedule for Sunday.  The winner of the series will advance to the next round of the tournament hosted the following weekend at Trinity College.

On Tuesday, the Mules capped an impressive regular season season with a 5-0 win over New England Colleget, a ranked program within the Northeast region with a shot of an NCAA tournament berth. The Pilgrims had only five hits on the night, and Colby's defense allowed no runs against a team that has only been blanked twice all season.

Colby ends its regular season with an 8-4 conference record and overall record of 21-11.
