Beverly, MA - Colby traveled to Massachusets yesterday, Sunday April 24th. Prior to this game, the Mules dropped two of three to Bowdoin over the weekend. Thus, going into the game Colby was 17-9 and looking for revenge. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Baseball lost this one 8-1, collecting their tenth loss of the season.
Charlie Jodka was charged with the loss, pitching three and a third innings. In that time, he allowed four runs on five hits and put three batters on base with walks. The rest of the time on the mound was filled with Jack Doyle,
Elijah Cohen,
Mark Sunoo, Adam hoechstet, and Moses Celeya. Unfortunately, no one was able to slow down Endicot, as they put up eight runs and easily outscored Colby.
Marcus Forrester and
Patrick McConnell tied for the team lead in hits with two. McConnell also had the sole RBI for the Mules.
Cole Palmeri and
Charlie Furlong each collected one hit on the day, accounting for the rest of the team's hits on the day.
Colby will look to put a stop to their recent skid when they travel to Portland tomorrow, Tuesday, April 26th. There they will take on the University of Southern Maine at 4:30 PM.
