Stowe, Vt. - The Colby Alpine ski team was scheduled to head to Stowe Mountain for the University of Vermont Carnival but, a large winter storm that produced feet of snow forced the postponement of the race.
UVM and Stowe did all they could to get races off but in the end, it was not possible to have a fair and safe race.
The Mules were able to take advantage of the trip to Vermont by racing at the Middlebury Snow Bowl and Suicide Six. The races saw a competitive field and softer conditions that lead to deteriorated courses.
Annaliese Fleck lead the girl's team at Middlebury finishing in 13th and Owen Croce lead the guys in 31st.
The schedule is being reshuffled but, the Mules will be in action next week with the Dartmouth Carnival.
