Waterville, ME - Colby Women's Basketball faced the UMaine at Fort Kent Tigers on Saturday in their final game of the regular season. In a dominant game for the Mules, the Tigers were defeated with a final score of 76-40. 

The Mules set their assertive pace early in the first quarter. Various team members landed shots to propel the Mules eight points ahead of the Tigers. Chiamaka Ubani '22 was particularly strong at the net, landing eight of the team's 22 points in the quarter. The second quarter had a slower tempo than the first, but the Mules were able to maintain their wide lead going into the second half. Three-pointers and a jumper by Keagan Dunbar '22 played a crucial role in the Mules' maintained dominance. The Mules entered the second half with a 14-point lead over the Tigers and a score of 25-39. 

The third quarter was the most high-scoring for the Mules, with the team rallying 26 points while holding the Tigers to 11. Carly Christofori '22 and Dunbar paved the way for this momentum, together landing 17 points in the quarter. The final quarter began with a 29-point margin between the two teams. It proved difficult for the Tigers to source momentum to come back, mustering only four points in the final period. The Mules ended the game 36 points ahead of the Tigers. 

The Mules' final game saw strong play from the entire team. Dunbar proved a strong force at the net, landing 20 points throughout the match. Ubani had a competitive defense, making 5 steals and 8 rebounds. 

Colby Women's Basketball finishes their regular season with an overall record of 11-9.
