Geneva, New York- Colby Men's Hockey faced off against #1 Hobart College earlier tonight in their first game since winter break.

The Statemen got on the scoreboard first, scoring just under four minutes into the first period.
Andy Beran made thirteen saves in the first twenty to keep the Mules at a one goal deficit. In the second period, Hobart caught Colby on a power play, scoring a shorthanded goal against the Mules. Colby would have two power play chances this period but were not able to score. In the final period, the Mules cut the lead in half, with
Henry Molson scoring his third goal of the season, knocking in the puck off the goalie's pads.
Clay Korpi and
Nick Stapleton earned the assists. The Mules were not able to complete the comeback, despite a strong effort in the final minutes of the period, falling to the Statesmen 2-1.Â

Colby plays again tomorrow in a non-conference matchup against Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Game time is set for 4 PM.
