Colby started strong and never looked back as they cruised to a 78-61 victory. The victory takes the Mules to 10-1 and drops the Bobcats to 4-6.
Colby's strong shooting hand carried over from the midweek win as they hit nearly 50 percent of their shots. In addition, the Mules benefited from solid defense and shooting as they turned nine turnovers into 10 points. Colby was led in the first half by 12 points from
Jack Lawson and eight points from
Max Poulton.
The Mule's hot hand cooled off in the second half as they hit only 34 percent, but they forced Bates into taking bad shots and maintained their lead. Colby's scoring in the second half came from
Noah Tyson with 10 points and another nine from Lawson. Tyson and Lawson carried the Mules for a second straight game as they both had double-doubles.
The Mules will take a break before returning to action on December 31st against the University of Southern Maine at 1 pm.
