Waterville, Maine - The Colby College Volleyball team finishes their regular season with a 0-3 loss against a tough Amherst College team (16-25, 23-25, 13-25). This sets their overall record to 14-8 on the season and 4-6 in conference play.
In each set the Mules put themselves in a hole early making the comeback difficult. In the second set, Colby almost completed the comeback but fell just short by two points. LJ Grant, Hannah Wyllie, and Sydney Bopp led in kills with six each as Sydney Sick registered 18 assists. Grant and Bella Schumacher combined for 23 digs.Â
The eighth seeded Mules will now look towards the first round of the playoffs and face off against the tournament hosts No. 1 Wesleyan in a quarterfinals matchup on Friday.Â
