Brunswick, Maine- The Field Hockey team played against Bowdoin College last night in a NESCAC matchup.
Â
Bowdoin took a 3-0 lead over the Mules in the first quarter. Colby answered just over a minute into the first quarter where
Pernilla Shaw knocked in her first of two goals on the night to pull the Mules within two. After the Polar Bears found the back of the cage two more times,
Casey Winslow would knock in her fifth goal of the season, assisted by
Lillian Kistner. While Bowdoin would be able to find the back of the cage consistently, Colby's play showed cohesiveness and grit. Shaw would score her second of the game in the third quarter with
Jackie Hill getting the assist. Despite an 8-3 loss, the Mules showed strong play and are looking for it to continue into their final two games of the season.
Â
Colby plays again tomorrow in Standish, Maine in their final non-conference matchup of the season against Saint Joseph's College of Maine at 7P PM.
