Mules Secure NESCAC Win on Homecoming Weekend

Waterville, Maine- The Colby College Men's Soccer team returned home after four straight away games to earn a NESCAC win on their own turf. The Mules held the Connecticut College Camels scoreless in a 1-0 victory bringing Colby to 1-2-5 in NESCAC and 4-2-7 overall.

In the first half, neither team was successful in scoring going into halftime at 0-0. However in the 59th minute of the game after an attempted goal by Ethan Franco hit the goal post, Ethan Fabricant was able to retrieve the ball, scoring the first and only goal of the game. A season-high seven saves by goalkeeper Matt Morin along with energetic defense from the Mules prevented any goals by the Camels. This win marks Colby's first win against Connecticut, in the last 8 games, and ends a four-game losing streak against the Camels.

On Wednesday the Mules head to Brunswick, Maine to face off against the Bowdoin Polar Bears in the second-to-last game of the regular season.
