Middlebury, VERMONT - On January 8th, 2022 the Women's squash team traveled down to Vermont to face Middlebury College, a fellow NESCAC competitor. Overall, the women fell to the Panthers, but not without a fight.
A highlight of the day was #1 seat
Andrea Lee who pulled out the only win of the day for the women's team. Although Middlebury had the home court advantage, Lee was still able to pick out her opponents weaknesses and secure a 3-0 win (11-7, 11-6, 11-8). Throughout her match, Lee kept her focus and composure as she strategically placed the ball in areas out of reach for her opponent.
Although there weren't other wins of the day, there were some close games. In the beginning of the first game,
Juliette Love was ahead of her opponent, but just fell short with a loss of (9-11). In addition, after losing the first two games (1-11, 3-11) India Spencer was able to pull out a close win in the third game, but also had just fell short with a loss of (9-11). Three games in the 7, 8, and 9 spots were taken by Colby by default.
