Middlebury, Vt. - The Colby Volleyball team took a 4-0 record on the road to take on Middlebury on Friday. The hosts issued the Mules their first loss of the season in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-14). Colby now sits at 4-1 while the Panthers remain a perfect 7-0.
While Middlebury led the way in offensive categories, Colby held the advantage in defensive digs throughout the game, 45-40.
Jenny Slaveck totaled a team high 12 digs followed by
Susie Mueller with seven.
Morgan Selby led the Mules with 14 assists, and
Hannah Wyllie led the team at the net with 7 kills.
The Mules are back in action Saturday when they visit Amherst for their second NESCAC match in as many days.
