Men's Tennis began their season with an out-of-conference match against Thomas College on Saturday, March 27. Breaking in the tennis courts in the newly built Harold Alfond Athletics and Recreation Center, the Mules took a 2-0 lead in the doubles, with both the #1 doubles pairing of Sophomore
Jan Wenger and Freshman
Joey Barrett and the #2 pairing of Junior
Max Schuermann and Freshman
Sam Henry taking 8-0 victories. The Mules continued their success in singles, winning all five matches without dropping a game for a decisive match win of 9-0.
Sumukh Pathi
Senior Captain Sumukh Pathi kept it short and simple about the goals Colby has for this season. "Good to be back on the court and get a match in the books. We definitely don't take any match for granted. On to next week."
The match was Colby's first of the 2020-2021 spring season. They play Connecticut College next at Colby on Saturday, April 3 at 2 pm. Livestreaming will be available on the Colby Tennis Instagram and the Colby Tennis Twitter page.
