Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Improves to 2-1 With Dominant Win Over Thomas

Waterville, MAINE- Men's basketball improved to 2-1 yesterday, with an impressive win against Thomas College. The Mules ended the game with a 19 point advantage over the Terriers, winning 82-63.

The game was close throughout the first half, ending with Colby down four to Thomas, 39-35. However, the Mules were able to turn the game around, completely taking over in the second half, outscoring the Terriers 47-24. The comeback and dominance in the second half was fueled by excellent performances from Noah Tyson, Will King, and Jack Lawson. Tyson put up an impressive double double, ending the game with 19 points and 15 rebounds, shooting 8-14 and 1-2 from beyond the three point line. King acted more as a pure scorer, but did so very efficiently. Will King ended the game with eight attempted field goals, six of which were makes, accounting for 16 points. He also shot 2-2 from three point land and recorded two assists. Lawson had his second strong game in a row with 13 points on 4-5 shooting splits. Jack was also able to force his way to the line very effectively, taking six free throws and making five of them. Matt Hanna also had a strong performance with 10 points.

Colby basketball will be happy with this bounce back win after a disappointing loss to a strong WPI team. The Mules will look to build off this momentum when they travel to Johnson & Wales University on Saturday, November 20th, with tip off at 3:00 PM.
