Colby Volleyball Pushes Williams to the End in a Tight Game

Waterville, Maine – The Mules took on the Williams Ephs Friday night with a ton of energy. Williams entered the match as one of the stronger teams in the NESCAC, boasting a 9-1 record, with their only loss coming last weekend in five sets to Bowdoin College. Colby entered the match 7-5, ready to fight every minute. The Mules did just that, pushing Williams to the brink in the first two sets. While the match ended with Williams winning 3-0, each set was close (25-23, 25-21, 25-15).

Hannah Wyllie was back in the lineup for Colby, enhancing the Mules' net presence after being out with an injury the past few games. She made her mark in the game for the Mules, tying Natalie Bumpus with the most kills for Colby. Jenny Slaveck held it down in the back court, leading the Mules with 14 digs throughout the match. Morgan Selby also had a strong showing, leading Colby in assists, contributing nine to the team this match.

Colby is back in action tomorrow, October 9th against Hamilton College at home. Start time is set for 2:00pm.
