Castine, MAINE – The Colby Volleyball team took on Maine Maritime Academy this Wednesday night. The Mules came out strong in the first set, winning 25-22, but the Mariners countered their efforts with wins in the next three sets. Colby never gave up, losing by only two points in the fourth set. Ultimately, Maine Maritime came out on top 3-1 (25-22, 16-25, 21-25, 23-25).

Hannah Wyllie once again led the Mules with nine kills, and Jenny Sleveck was not far behind with eight on the day. Hannah Wyllie also led the team in blocks, totaling four. Colby led the match in blocks with seven to the Mariner's five. Julia Hutchings led the Mules in the backcourt with 15 digs, and Bella Schumacher had a strong showing with 11.

Colby is back in action on Friday, October 29, hosting Bowdoin College at 7:00pm.
