Waterville, Maine - Colby Women's Soccer hosted the Middlebury Panthers this weekend in their seventh NESCAC game of the season. It was a close game, but the Mules ultimately fell to the Panthers with a final score of 1-2.

Colby had a dominant showing in the first half. They got off to an aggressive start with two shots on the goal by
Pepper Joseph '24. The Mules broke through in the 18th minute when
Lucy Robinson '24 scored on the Panther goal. Goalie
Ashley Boardman '23 held the Panthers scoreless throughout the period, saving multiple attempts at the goal.

The Panthers tied the game back up early in the second period, ultimately bringing the game to overtime. The first OT period showed scrappy play from the Panthers, with multiple fouls and a yellow card on Isabelle Hartnett. The Mules made a strong effort, with three total shots on the goal. The game ended in a second round of overtime, when Middlebury's Eliza van Voorhis scored in the 100th minute.

Colby Women's Soccer is next set to face the Wesleyan Cardinals at home on Sunday, October 17, at 11 AM EST.
