Box Score Waterville, Maine. - Colby Women's Lacrosse fell to Bowdoin College in their last NESCAC game of 2020, but it was full of heart and love for the game, for their teammates, and for CWL.
GAME NOTES: The Mules brought a fire to their final game. With a short notice senior night celebration, the Mules took the field with energy, passion, and love. They went up 4-1 and 6-3 in the first half and looked like they could hold it there, but Bowdoin came back to win the game 15-10.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES:

Emily Podgorni (00) played the whole game and had 15 saves for a 50% save percentage, making key plays early in the game.

Taylor Moore (13) and Gianna Bruno (11) were high-scorers, scoring four and three goals apiece.

Sarah Stark (12) had six ground balls for the Mules, coming up big on defense.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE POLAR BEARS:

Kara Finnerty (3) scored five goals for the Bears contributing to their comeback and eventual win.

Finnerty, Fiona Bundy (6), and Morgan Pinado (11) were contributors on 50/50 balls collecting 23 out of 40 ground balls.

Bundy scored her final goal of the season with a trick-shot on a crease-roll.

The Mules and Polar Bears each had 3 yellow cards.

Bowdoin edged Colby in the draw circle 16-11. The deficit in goals was the same in draws showing that draw controls were crucial to controlling the game.
*The Mules finish out their season 4-2. Next year will come, however, and these strong women will bring energy, skill, and passion to the next lacrosse season.
