Amherst, MA – The Colby College Women's Basketball team falls to the #9 ranked Amherst College Mammoths 53-36.

GAME NOTES

• Colby was able to start out with the hot hand going up on the Mammoths 14-8 to end the first. Amherst was able to stifle the Mules and outscore Colby 22-4 in the second. Amherst took a 30-18 lead into half time. The second half of the game was back and forth action but the Mules were unable gain any ground on the Mammoths. Amherst would end up winning by a score of 53-36.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES

• Alisha Aube (photo insert) went 5-15 from the field finishing with 14 points. She went 2-5 from beyond the arc. Aube also added seven rebounds.
• Grace Coutu pitched in seven points and 10 rebounds.
• Keagan Dunbar scored seven points coming off the bench while Jane MacKerron finished with five points. MacKerron had six rebounds.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MAMMOTHS

• Hannah Fox led all scorers with 16 points and pulled down seven rebounds.
• Maggie Shipley and Cam Hendricks each had eight points for Amherst. Shipley also had nine rebounds.
• Madeline Eck added seven points.

KEY STATS

• There were three lead changes and two ties on the night.
• Colby's bench outscored Amherst 12-10.

NEXT MATCHUP

• Colby will play their last home game of the year when they welcome the Husson University Eagles to town on Tuesday February 11. Game is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
