Box Score Clinton, NY – The Colby College Women's Basketball team starts out the weekend road trip with a 61-44 loss to the Hamilton College Continentals.
GAME NOTES
- Hamilton started out the game on a 14-0 run on their home court. The Continentals would take a 21-6 lead going into the second quarter. Colby would get back to within 10 points with 5:33 to go until halftime. Hamilton would go into half with a 35-17 lead. Colby was able to outscore Hamilton in the second half but were unable to overcome first half deficit as the Continentals would pull out a 61-44 win.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES
Colby was led by Grace Coutu (photo insert) who finished with 11 points. She went 5-7 from the field. She also had seven rebounds.
- Ainsley Burns and Alisha Aube would also score in the double figures for the Mules each scoring 10 points.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE CONTINENTALS
- Liz Arnold, Kayla Glemaud, and Emma Sehring all scored 10 points for Hamilton. Arnold went 4-6, Glemaud was 5-11, while Sehring went 4-7.
- Claire Sehring was close behind with nine points going 4-9 from the field.
KEY STATS
- Brooke Guiffre continues to shoot well from beyond the arc sitting at fifth in the conference with a 40.3% three point percentage.
- On the year Colby is averaging 59.6 points per game and average 6.6 three point field goals made per game.
