Lewiston, Maine - The Colby Swimming & Diving teams traveled to Lewiston to take on Bates College Saturday. The men's meet came down to the final leg of the final race, with everything hinging on the men's 200 yard freestyle relay. The men race, and the meet, by less than a second, falling to Bates 151-143. The women's team was also defeated 194-103. Longtime Swimming & Diving Head Coach Tom Burton said, "It was an incredibly exciting meet and finish. As I told the men, while I am without a doubt disappointed at the outcome (as now Bates is the CBB Champs), I am proud of all of them and how they swam and dove. They came to race and competed extremely well."
