Game highlights
* Hamilton had the lone goal of the opening two periods. The Continentals scored on the power play with just 1:03 left in the first period. Hamilton had good puck movement after a face-off and Chad Varney's pass from near the right corner found Rory Gagnon for the goal at the near post.

* Paddy Daley (pictured) sparked the Mules on the first goal by hustling to the corner to disrupt a pass from Hamilton goaltender Anthony Tirabassi. The Mules were able to keep the puck in the zone, with Quinn Doyle backhanding a pass back to Mark Leprine at the right point. Leprine's blast deflected off the back wall and went directly to Spencer Hewson near the left post for the score at 6:14.

* Hewson had the primary assist on Colby's second goal at 8:58 of the second period. He lifted the puck down the left boards to Sanzone, who made a terrific move on a defenseman and then lifted a shot high on net for the score. Velan Nandhakumaran had the secondary assist.

* Justin Grillo had some nice hustle on Colby's third goal at 12:29. He won a puck in the right circle and immediately passed it to Nick O'Connor, who was patient and got Tirabassi down and then went high.

* The Mules were actually playing down six-on-three for about 30 seconds after Colby had two penalties and then Hamilton lifted the goalie for another attacker.

* Sanzone sealed the game when he picked off a pass near the blue line, raced down the ice, and stuffed home the goal in the empty net with 41 seconds remaining.
