Box Score Brunswick, Maine – The Colby College Women's Basketball team came up short on the road in conference action to the Bowdoin Polar Bears by a score of 70-51.
GAME NOTES
- Bowdoin started out the first quarter on an 8-0 run but Colby was able to claw their way back to cut the deficit to four to start the second. The Polar Bears would take a 33-17 lead into halftime. The two teams traded baskets in the third, each scoring 18 points in the quarter. Bowdoin was able to outscore Colby by three in the final quarter to get the 70-51 victory.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MULES
- Alisha Aube led the Mules (photo insert) offensively with 12 points and four rebounds. She was 4-6 from the free throw line.
Ainsley Burns also scored in double figures hitting 3-6 three point attempts and ending with 11 points. Burns is averaging 12.3 points per game on the season.
- Paige Russell and Keagan Dunbar did their part pitching in nine and seven points, respectively.
HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE POLOR BEARS
- Sela Key led all scorers with 18 points.
- Maddie Hasson finished with a double-double on the afternoon with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Hasson is third in the NESCAC with 16.4 points.
KEY STATS
- Colby is holding opponents to a 33.3% field goal percentage on the season and are holding teams to just 59.4 points per game.
- The Mules hit 13-17 (76.5%) free throws in the game and have a 68.2% free throw percentage on the year.

- Colby will play Franklin & Marshall on December 29 at Smith College in the Smith Holiday Tournament at 4:00 PM.
