MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Katie McLaughlin scored the lone goal for the Colby College women's hockey team in an 8-1 loss at seventh-ranked Middlebury College on Sunday in NESCAC play.
McLaughlin scored at 3:25 of the third period to give her a team-best eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) on the season. McLaughlin has 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 career points. Eleanor Knutzen (pictured) and Anna Rudinski had assists on the goal. Rudinski has a team-high seven assists.
Middlebury (14-6-2 overall, 9-4-1 NESCAC) scored three goals in the first 7:14 of the opening period. The Panthers added four more goals in the second period.
Maddie Winslow had three goals and one assist for Middlebury.
Halley Fine had 18 saves and Katie Fenton stopped 10 shots for the Mules.
